Dateline Monday 17th November 2025

Happy Monday morning I hope you are well. Only another two weeks to go till Monday 1^st December which is when I can start to have the occasional puff pastry mince pie or a slice on panettone with my morning espresso. No festive goodies are allowed until December starts that is my limitation I have pit on myself to ensure I only put on a few kilos in December and not several kilos.

How is it that we are now comfortable with kilos and seem to have forgotten ounces, pounds and stones.  

This Monday Morning e mail is very brief as I left  home on Sunday morning at 6.15AM to walk to Swiss Cottage tube station to get a Picadilly line train to Heathrow Terminal 5 as the lovely Elizabeth Line and Paddington Express were both not working, welcome to London tourist people enjoy your struggle to get into the city and West End or use a taxi if you want to loose an arm and a leg and £100.  

The USA shutdown of Government services seem to have been resolved that is I guess because Trump needs all the Government Lawyers back at work so her can sue the BBC It seems the Commander in Chief has also become the Sueur in Chief or should that be spelt Sewer in Chief President Trump is making a very nice living out of suing organisations, he has sued eight different media outlets and is bearing down on a ninth in the BBC. He has threatened the BBC with a $1 billion (£761 million) ultimatum after it was discovered that the broadcaster had edited a Panorama documentary to make it seem that Trump had explicitly urged people to attack the US Capitol on January 6, 2021 which of course he did nothing of the kind. If the BBC did not apologise by last Friday, November 14^th, the president has said he will sue them for $1 billion in damages.

According to the internet CBS' parent company, Paramount Global, is paying $16m (£12.1m) to end the legal dispute - again towards Mr Trump's future presidential library. Meta, the parent company of Facebook and Instagram, also settled with the president to the tune of $25m (£19m). Earlier this year, Mr Trump filed a $10bn (£7.5bn) lawsuit over a report in the Wall Street Journal that he wrote a "bawdy" note to Jeffrey Epstein to mark his 50th birthday in 2003 - before Mr Epstein was charged. He is a very busy President

Soap box time

TWO YEARS AND 40 DAYS since innocent and murdered Israeli citizens’ bodies were taken by the violent, medieval, barbaric terrorist group Hamas who had murdered them in cold blood to be held as bargaining chips against the Israeli Government.  So far some of these deceased people have been repatriated to their families for a decent burial and closure however the bodies of nine Israelis and 2 foreign nationals remain in the Gaza Strip; Hamas claims it cannot get to some, doesn’t know where other five bodies are.

The civil war in Sudan is still raging, innocent people are being massacred and STILL no keffiyeh scarf wearing halfwit knumbskulls are on the streets protesting, it seems they do not care if the war is Muslim against Muslim
