DATELINE MONDAY 18TH NOVEMBER 2019

Hey, hey bright, cold and crispy Monday morning greetings, I hope all is well and that you had a great weekend. It sure is beginning to look a lot like Christmas is on its way, it certainly was looking that way in Rome last week, Malta the week before, not seen what London is up to yet might do that next week after my few days in Barcelona.

I was in Rome Wednesday and Thursday, I flew back Friday afternoon, I can understand now why they call it The Eternal City, it took an eternity to walk round it 😊. I was there meeting with a DMC, after meeting and presenting to them they asked me what I would like to do and I said I would like to walk the city. Walking the city is so much better than driving.

The weather was dry, sunny and warm I had a list of must see sights and I did them all except for The Vatican as I had in previous years been there and done that, I guessed as I had seen St Paul’s Basilica, seen the underground tombs of several Popes add to that the Sistine Chapel I figured they hadn’t changed a bit, I cannot see The Pope having the decorators in to repaint the Sistine Chapel so I concentrated on other sites. I saw The Trevi Fountain, The Pantheon, The Colosseum of course, hard to miss that in Rome. I walked The Jewish Ghetto which is next to Porticus Octaviae, The Forum and the Palatine Hill, The Spanish Steps and Piazza del Popolo. I took lots and lots of photos, do you follow MM and Company on Instagram? If you do you will have seen the images of Rome, if I say so myself some of the pics are quite good, even the night time shots.

Talking of Italy if Donald Trump thinks global warming is not an issue he should check out Venice, the beautiful and ancient city of Venice is effectively underwater and that is a tragedy. Add to that the horrific fires of late in the USA and Australia global warming is front and centre.

Eva and the team at Cornerstone Meetings part of Germanyinsight have told us that there are two major European Pharmaceutical congresses being held in Frankfurt next year.

Both of these congresses are very well attended and event space, hotels, transport services all get booked up very quickly indeed. If any of your clients are attending these two events and need event space, accommodation, ground services etc. may I suggest that you contact Eva on your clients behalf as soon as possible, Frankfurt will be full.
