MM and Company logo

Happy Monday, good morning and welcome to FLAMING JUNE so called due to the heat of the June sun HA! well that was the case on Saturday horrible dreadful weather Sunday started out quite promising all be it with a chilly breeze and it proved to be a great day so much so I went on a 10 mile walk from home in NW6 to Downing Street SW1 and then walked back I was very tempted to get the tube back from Bond Street but it was such a nice sunny day I walked

I hope you are well and that you enjoyed not going to work last Monday. Is half term over? Now that both Leyla and Hannah are done with compulsory full time education, I am a bit lost as to when half term starts and ends. Work last week was a bit quiet, I made phone calls to clients only to get answered by voice mails, e mails were mostly respond to by I am out of office e mails.

It’s soap box time

Today is the 241st day of the war in Gaza and the 241st day that Israeli babies, toddles, children, teens, women, men and seniors have been held hostage in the Hamas terror tunnels in Gaza. Netanyahu has not had much success bringing the hostages home since the 100 hostages were set free earlier this year. Sadly since then the Israel Defence Force has recovered and repatriated bodies of four of the hostages, I do wonder how many are still alive. Sadly, it seems that the Israel Defence Force have not found any hostages alive.

So Ex President Trump is now Convict Trump, I do not believe in kicking a person when that person is down even if he does kick, what goes round comes around so I will just leave it as justice has been done. To be honest when he was President Trump he did some good things for Israel and the USA economy it’s just he is a bit of a nutter with it.

Finally, the ANC in South Africa has been bought to book and to pay for their inefficiencies in running the amazing country of South Africa, as a result of the recent General Election they have lost overall majority in Parliament. Perhaps the new government will fix the water and electricity supply challenge. Maybe the ANC should concentrate on running their own country and not interfering with the conflict in Israel that they clearly know nothing about only what they hear from the Terrorist Group Hamas.

Why on earth did the BBC dedicate 15 minutes of their  Sunday evening 6PM News Bulletin on the election in South Africa.

Sir Kier and his pals have got themselves into a bit of a mess over Diane Abbott, Sir Kier says something on the lines of no decision has been made then his deputy Angela says “yeah why not let her stand as a Labour Candidate in the General Election” it is clear Sir Kier does not have much time for either lady.

Talking of the General Election another Tory MP has joined Labour although this Conservative MP is standing down and not running again so his is basically an empty gesture.

 Off the soap box now

Well done Novak Djokovic, the 37 year old played the game of his life in Paris, it started at 10PM and didn’t finish till 3.15AM, he lost the first two sets then be battled back to win the next three sets, an amazing effort.

That dear reader that is about it from a David point of view for this week at least.

Amsterdam

Alexandra, Andreas and the team at DELTA DMC Amsterdam and The Netherlands have told us that The Avani Museum Quarter Amsterdam Hotel, formerly known as NH Amsterdam Museum Quarter is open the hotel has 163 guest rooms many of the guest rooms overlook rows of traditional Amsterdam houses, but the upper scale rooms on the sixth and 7th floor feature floor-to-ceiling windows that really make the most of the magnificent canal. The hotel is located just outside the centre of Amsterdam, in the vibrant ‘De Pijp’ neighbourhood. Due to the hotel’s excellent location, many of the city’s famous cultural attractions are within walking distance. For example, the Rijksmuseum, the Van Gogh Museum, the Stedelijk Museum and the Moco Museum are all within a kilometre of the hotel’s front door. Similarly, the scenic canal and the main shopping street P.C. Hoofstraat are within a five-minute walk.
