Happy Monday morning, I hope you are fit and well on this rather chilly January Monday morning, the last Monday in January next Monday it will be February. The question is will the storm covering 40% of the USA head over the Atlantic to visit our green and pleasant land only time will tell if we get “the best from the East” once again
It is a year since President Trump took office for the second time it is true to say it has not been a boring year when it comes to the USA.
Last week I wrote “Trump and Greenland, what on earth is that man on? some type of look at me narcissistic drug infused love in, of himself, get off the news and get off yourself, Greenland is for the Greenland people, sure have a few more military bases on the Island, pay a market rent for the land and protect your country that way”.
Seems like The Donald and Mark Rutte NATO’s Secretary General have read my Monday e mail and agreed that Trump is not going to invade Greenland but he is going to rent some of it like most civilised people unless of course your name is Prick Putin who starts wars when he wants something.
Minneapolis USA, ICE officers are once again gun happy; another American civilian has been shot dead.
Dreadful news coming out of Iran seems like there have been tens of thousands of protesters have been mowed down and murdered by their own government it is clear that this medieval regime is coming to an end it is only a matter of time. The protests are still going on but for sure they need help.
Scaredy Cat Starmer does not want any competition perhaps that should read any MORE competition to claim his job so he and his Labour mates have voted 8-1 to prevent Andy Burnham Mayor of Greater Manchester for standing in the soon to be held by election in Greater Manchester a seat in Parliament has become vacant and if Andy was to win the seat he could challenge Starmer to a leadership challenge, we live in exciting times
Congratulations to Novak Djokovic, he has added yet another landmark to his remarkable career on Saturday at the Australian Open, where he became the first man to earn 400 match wins at the majors. The 38-year-old Serbian reached the milestone with a straight-sets victory against Botic van de Zandschulp. Djokovic now sits 31 wins clear of Roger Federer, who occupies second place with 369 major match victories.
And that’s the view from my MM and Company desk for this week

London Heathrow Airport
Passengers at Heathrow Airport will no longer be required to remove liquids or electronics from their hand luggage, following the completion of a £1bn upgrade to its security technology. Security lanes now have high-resolution 3D imaging equipment capable of processing thousands of travellers per hour with increased efficiency. The new scanners use technology similar to medical CT scanners to create detailed internal views of baggage. The changes mean the end of the 100ml limit for liquids in carry-on baggage; passengers may now carry liquid containers up to a volume of two litres.
Vienna Austria
Regular readers of my Monday morning e mail will know whenever I can in Europe, I stay at the hotel chain Motel One. I have stayed in Motel One in Germany and Spain now according to Martin and
Evelyn of e+o DMC Austria I can stay in a Motel one in Vienna as it has just been opened in the modern Donau City district, the hotel is near the Danube Island and the Danube Park.
The Motel One chain also has the Cloud One brand I stayed in the Cloud One Hotel in the Financial District in New York City located just a few yards from the 9-11 memorial
And that is about it for this Monday, you know as much as I know, wishing you an outstanding day and an awesome week ahead.
