Happy Monday, I hope you and yours are all well
Yes, I know I have been MIA (missing in action) but not AWOL (absent without leave) I did tell you that September was a bit of a nuts month for me. I wrote to you on Monday 1st September missed 8th September I was on a site inspection and then decided to extend my stay and take a few days in the sunshine. 15th September was the day after my nephew Harry’s wedding to Chloe, having been in the advanced state of refreshment on the day of the wedding Sunday, I took Monday off to recover a very wise decision and here we are Monday 22nd September and September is rapidly disappearing.
Sir Keir weak, weak, weak, Starmer announced that the UK will recognise Palestine as a state. An entity riddled with terrorists as its leaders. Stamer caved into the pressure groups in the Labour Party, he is simply pathetic. The move means that Palestine, which is formed of the West Bank and Gaza, is entitled to an official embassy in the UK and will be given full diplomatic rights in Britain.
It is simply a “reward for terrorism” and will have no immediate impact on the war in Gaza, while the families of hostages held by Hamas has said it will “complicate” the return of their relatives.
What the UK, Canada, France and Australia have done is pure symbolism, the war can end tomorrow, Hamas releases the hostages, Hamas disarms and accepts the existence of Israel and rescinds the threat to repeat, repeat and repeat the horrendous attack of 7th October 2023. Israel has a defence force not an army, Israel is defending its’ people and territory
Well done to Japan, Italy and Germany for resisting the call to recognise the Palestinian terrorist’s evil doing.
Stamer needs to concentrate on THIS country never mind any other destination, he had lost MPs to other parties or the police and courts, a dishonest, tax avoiding deputy leader and a lecherous Labour lovie Ambassador, a total omnishambles of huge proportions. He needs to spend more time in this country instead trying to be a statesman in which he is falling well short of the mark. Plonker, to use a well-known adjective.
Talking of Germany I saw a video clip of German Chancellor Friedrich Merz visibly emotional making a speech at the opening of the restored Reichenbachstrasse synagogue in Munich, the Synagogue was severely damaged on Reichspogromnacht (Kristallnacht) pogrom by the Nazis in 1938 and further damaged by bombing during World War II Eight decades later the terrible and tragic events of past generations can still evoke strong reactions. The synagogue, which stands in a courtyard hidden from the street, was built in modernist Neue Sachlichkeit (New Objectivity) style and opened in September 1931 — just two years before Hitler came to power. In his speech, Merz said he was ashamed of the new surge of antisemitism both as German chancellor “but also as a German, as a child of the post-war generation, as a child who grew up with ‘never again’ as a mission, as a duty, as a promise.”
Soap box time
The bitter news AGAIN today, it is 713 days since Israeli and other nations’ citizens were on 7th October 2023 wrenched violently from their homes, streets, fields, and places of leisure in Israel and taken to be held hostage as pawns of war imprisoned in squalid conditions in the Hamas terror tunnels in Gaza.
The Isreal Defence Force have recovered the bodies of two Israelis killed on 7th October 2023 and then taken to the Hamas dungeon tunnels to be held for ransom. A total of 48 Israelis are still being held captive by the group of evil, blood thirsty, barbaric terrorists called Hamas. Sadly, out of the 48 people being kept in horrific conditions only 24 are still alive although it seems Hamas is starving some of the hostages to a slow death. Hamas took the dead bodies back to Gaza because they knew that Israel would stop at nothing to get all their citizens, dead or alive back to Israel.
The death cult Hamas has gone and DONE IT AGAIN upped the ante and increased the demands in order for them to agree a ceasefire, why? because they can see The West especially FRANCE, the UK (not in my name) and now Canada but thankfully not the USA who can see what these dreadful people are up to, are swallowing hook, line and sinker their horrific propaganda nonsense. Israel wants a ceasefire they have had more than enough of this dreadful war, Israel do not want to lose one more soldier or civilian BUT they must have a peaceful border without the threat from Hamas who have publicly said they would repeat the attack of October 2023 again, again and again. The only way for Israel to achieve this is in the total annihilation of the death cult Hamas
Here is a thought, GAZA is 25 miles long 3-7 miles wide with 2.1 MILLION people living there and not ONE PERSON in Gaza has helped to find the 48 Israeli hostages
Off the soap box now
Good news
Finally on Monday evening, Tuesday and Wednesday it is Rosh Hashanah the Jewish New Year one of the high holyday for the Jewish people. Regular readers of my Monday morning e mail will know I search Google for the reason or the meaning of each festival Jewish, Christian, Islamic Buddhist or other faiths. Google told me that Rosh Hashanah, celebrates the creation of humankind, is the holy day of God's concealed light. Through God's covenant of Chessed (loving kindness) with Abraham, the Jewish People as the true descendants of Abraham join with God in continually renewing and recreating the world and the universe. When humanity, and in particular the Jewish People, emulate God by performing acts of Chessed and by partnering with God through acts of Chessed we elevate, refine, and sanctify our lives and the lives of others around us.
May I take this opportunity to wish those of you who are celebrating the Jewish New Year a shanna tova umetuka, a sweet and happy new year to you, your family and friends
That’s it from a David point of view for this week.
