DATELINE MONDAY 21ST SEPTEMBER 2020

Happy soon to be sunny (according to Ben Rich of the BBC Weather Centre) Monday morning I hope you are fit, fine wonderful and well cool and COVID free on this lovely Monday morning I am referring to the weather as I tend to do OMG what an amazing few days of weather we have had down south it has lasted almost a week, warm dry and sunny perfect September weather.

Have you see the NEWS? Dark clouds on the horizon, I am not only referring again to the weather but also to what is happening in Israel, a lot of Europe and the UK, the predicted second COVID wave is on its way and it seems there is nothing that can stop it. Sure we can isolate, wash hands, lock down, wear a face covering and all that stuff but the bloody thing is a virus, it cannot be seen unless under a very powerful microscope, we are fighting an invisible enemy that is destroying lives and livelihoods but I am for sure not worrying about it why? Simple there is little I can do to prevent it so worrying about it is not going to help or keep me safe, sensible behaviour for once in my life will.

Seems like the new sport “up north” is speed drinking the pubs close at 10PM so getting sh%&faced has got to be done in record time.

I hope all of you celebrating Rosh Hashanah, the Jewish New Year had a good time if somewhat restricted this year. I went to Synagogue on both days it was a very different atmosphere and a very abridged service. I guess there is always next year.
