Happy Monday afternoon

Seasonal season’s greetings from a thawing balmy mild London W10 I hope you are well, welcome to the final Monday morning / afternoon (thanks Vodafone for the outage) e mail for 2022 and what a year it has been OMG!

The calamity of COVID is receding, the optimism I carried with me when the year began has by and large been delivered notwithstanding the penchant for the UK and Irish conference, incentive and event buyers wanting to stay close to home and sometimes almost exclusively wanting to hold meetings conferences and events in Birmingham, Bristol, Bath, Brighton and Bournemouth we have had some success so I look forward to 2023 looking for improvement on this year’s performance although it is fair to say that world events the War in Ukraine, inflation at 10% high fuel and energy prices and rapidly increasing interest rates to name but a few has put an damper on the exuberance of 2022

What will the next year bring? it is almost too exciting to bear.

My simple objective of this e mail is to say:-

Finally may I take this opportunity to wish you, you colleagues, family and friends an AWESOME Christmas whatever shape it may be taking in your household. Mum and I together with Mum’s carer, my girls, my sister and her husband, my twin brother Simon, his wife Dena, their daughter Danielle her husband Guy and their two boys aged 6 AJ and 8 Asher will this year be together in Swiss Cottage chez us watching His Majesty The King addressing the nation for the first time, I am sure Mama will feature big time, not too sure f Harry and Meghan will even merit a framed photo on King Charles’s desk.

Sunday night was the first night of the Jewish festival, Chanukah the festival of lights, if that is your thing, I wish you a wonderful eight days of Chanukah

If Christmas is not your thing, may I wish you a safe, successful, happy and above all HEALTHY (yes in caps 😊 shouting) New Year

Finally, may I wish you, your colleagues, family and friends and indeed the entire world a wonderful, happy, safe and peaceful Christmas, I hope 2023 be the year we return to some sort of boring and banal normality, enough with all this uncertainly.

I will be back in January 2023, bigger, brighter, bolder than ever before, my Monday morning e mail will be entering its 21st year.
