Happy Monday morning I hope you are well and that you had a great week last week. Did you enjoy the summer sunshine and warmth of the June sun over the weekend? I certainly did. This week the weather is getting hotter temperatures rising to a peak on Saturday of 30 degrees C yyyaaayyyyyy my type of weather.
Before I start my Monday morning e mail of thoughts, rants, raves complaints and compliments, I wanted to wish our Sovereign, His Majesty King Charles III a very happy and glorious 76th birthday with many, many happy returns, in the same vein I guess I want to wish President Trump a Happy 79th Birthday, so that is my Knighthood and Green Card sorted back to the Monday e mail.
What a dreadful news week last week, 242 People killed in Air India Boeing 787 Take-off Crash with some 30 people of the ground killed as well, how on earth did the passenger in seat 11A manage to escape the fire ball that occurred as the plane crashed one will never know, I am sure there is more to that miraculous escape than meets the eye.
Another week and another war, Israel launched a pre-emptive strike on Iran’s nuclear facility and the world is outraged well I do not think that is the case, there is very little outrage except in the upper circles of Iran’s leadership, it seems that the World’s leaders well at least most of them accept that Isreal is doing their dirty work for them and on behalf of the world, when a terrorist regime (Iran) threatens your annihilation time and time again it is inevitable that the threatened party (Israel) has to do something about the threat. Israel has targeted Iran’s leadership whereas Iran in retaliation has targeted Israel’s citizens. Proof of this is obvious as more RAF jets are being sent to the Middle East Sir Keir Starmer said the military aircraft, including Typhoons and air-to-air refuelers, were being sent "for contingency support across the region".
The World I hope remembers Operation Opera it was a surprise airstrike conducted by the Israeli Air Force on 7th June 1981, which destroyed an unfinished Iraqi nuclear reactor located 11 miles southeast of Baghdad, Iraq. The Israeli operation came a year after the Islamic Republic of Iran Air Force had caused minor damage to the same nuclear facility in Operation Scorch Sword, what Iran tried to do and failed Isreal did and succeeded. Imagine what the world would have looked like IF Sadam Hussein had acquired a nuclear weapon.
There is a G7 summit in Canda this week Sir Keir, Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney German Chancellor Friedrich Merz, French President Emmanuel Macron and US President Donald Trump are among those gathering there for three days of talks I am sure we can all guess what is top of the agenda.
I see Pres Trump has held a miliary parade down the main street of Washington DC similar to the parades held in Moscow and other capital cities projecting USA power for the World to see.
What a ridiculous girl child this Greta Thunberg is, she needs to get a job and work for a living like we all have to do, she needs to stop interfering in situations she knows nothing about, stupid girl. When she grows up perhaps, she will understand that terrorism and terrorist regimes cannot and must not be tolerated
Soap box time
The bitter news AGAIN today, it is 619 days since Israeli and other nations’ citizens were on 7th October 2023 wrenched violently from their homes, streets, fields, and places of leisure in Israel and taken to be held hostage as pawns of war imprisoned in squalid conditions in the Hamas terror tunnels in Gaza. A total of 59 Israelis are still being held captive by the group of evil, blood thirsty, barbaric terrorists called Hamas. Sadly out of the 53 people being kept in horrific conditions only 24 are still alive.
Here is a thought, GAZA is 25 miles long 3-7 miles wide with 2.1 MILLION people living there and not ONE PERSON in Gaza has helped to find the 59 Israeli hostages
Off the soap box now
Congratulations to all those who were honoured in the King’s Birthday honours list. I am not going to single anyone out in particular I am sure they are all worthy, however I do find it interesting that some recipients of honours are getting them because of the jobs they do whereas others are honoured for the jobs they did in the past and the charitable work they do now as a result of the jobs they did.
Congratulation to the British driver George Russell who has clinched Mercedes’ first victory of the season in the Canadian Grand Prix
Congratulations to Tatjana Maria who beat Amanda Anisimova to become the first women's champion at Queen's for 52 years.
And finally, June is PRIDE month the west end shops are beginning to decorate their shop windows and with pride publicity, John Lewis in Oxford Street the frontage if you are celebrating pride, enjoy, I am certain it will be a lot of fun.
That’s it from a David point of view for this week.
