DATELINE MONDAY 9TH JULY 2018

Sunny, sweltering, scorching Monday morning greetings from London W10, I hope you are all well and I hope you had a great weekend. So how is the tan coming along? Are you getting a good tan base just before you jet off to even sunnier destinations than the UK?

Why is it that every time there is a heat wave in the UK I'm not there to enjoy it? Although Germany did have some nice weather last week, it also had a couple of very iffy days. It's been said of me that I will attend a party at the drop of a hat, it's also been said that I will attend the opening of a pair of curtains as long as there is champagne available. Last Monday I attended the Camonsite part of Germanyinsight tenth anniversary party, it was a great event. I was delighted and honoured to be invited to this wonderful landmark in the history of Camonsite part of Germanyinsight, the DMC that MM and Company have been representing in Germany since 2010.

I took the opportunity whilst I was in Germany to see Essen, Dusseldorf and Hamburg, destinations in Germany that are great conference and incentive destination alternatives to Berlin, Frankfurt and Munich. Everywhere I went on Tuesday people were watching football, I only caught glimpses of the match as I was site inspecting venues and restaurants in these amazing Germany cities and the German people I came across funnily enough didn't really want to discuss football, can't imagine why :-)

Leyla and Hannah's twitter and witter bit of the Monday morning e mail

I was away for a few days last week, the phone rang, it was Leyla "Hello Daddy" "Hi baby how are you doing" It was four o'clock in the afternoon and Leyla was chatting to me about all kinds of stuff, I was just about to go into a site inspection and had to get her off the phone, she didn't want to end the conversation, it turned out she had lost another pair of headphones, she was bored on the coach getting home from school and wanted to chat. It appears that the passengers on the school coach have to use headphones for music and videos but not it seems for talking to Daddy. I was of course flattered that I was to be the instrument to alleviate her boredom, if she had her headphones the phone call would not have happened as she would have been watching Love Island on catch up or Ru Pauls Drag Race.

Hannah phoned me as well, she was full of excitement, she has been chosen as one student out of thirty in her year of 290 students to be give the opportunity to attend a nine week trip to Israel. It's called the Lavi trip after the famous Kibbutz, Kibbutz Lavi, they will be seeing all parts of Israel, they will be interacting with Israeli school children, as well as meeting politicians to understand the challenges this country has, I also think they will be meeting with personnel of the various parts of the Israel Defence Force. The students on the Lavi trip will also of course be continuing their curriculum studies. Hannah qualified to be on the trip because of her excellent school work, her attitude to school and her behaviour, I'm a very proud Dad. This is a great achievement on Hannah's behalf, she also came third in a 1500 metre race at her school sports day. I have said it so many times before "same parents two very different children" both wonderfully unique in so many ways.

That's it you are now totally up to date on what has been going on.
