DATELINE MONDAY 4TH DECEMBER 2017

Happy Monday peeps, what's all this about snow in November? Outrageous! Especially as I pay my taxes, it's way too cold the weather last week was January/February type weather. I could not believe that we actually had a snow flurry or two, it didn't settle, I was not surprised it didn't but having been in Mauritius last week the extreme cold last week was a bit hard to handle. However my daughters were totally excited they are now planning for a white Christmas.

Prince Harry, lucky guy, his fiance stars in one of my favourite TV programmes, Suits, I guess she will be written out of that very soon. If you haven't seen Suits, it's worth a look it's all about lawyers in New York, it's brilliant.

DMC News* MM and Company News * Destination News*

We all know this is a crazy business, always planning, planning, planning so much for the future. MM and Company are well sorted for the first quarter of 2018. In fact, to be honest with you we have been planning for a number of months, so in January I'm off to Cancun to meet with Susanne, Manuel and the team at The EPIC Group.

We have Sai Rattan, Managing Director of SNTTA Emir Conferences and Incentives DMC coming over to do sales calls. Speaking of Dubai, did you know that there will be a brand new Bulgari Hotel & Residences opening this week, with 101 rooms and 20 super-premium hotel villas. There is also Yacht Club that can be customised for large events. If you need any info on this please let us know.

We also have germanyinsight coming over the end of January, they are planning to do a drinks and canapes reception in a funky city location, watch this space for more details.

Filipe of TA DMC Portugal will also be coming over in the first quarter of 2018, it never stops which is just the way I like it.

Leyla and Hannah's twitter and witter bit of the Monday morning e mail

I told you about Hannah's birthday last week, I missed the start of Leyla's birthday, I was at IBTM and flying back from Barcelona.

I got in from the airport, opened the front door, Leyla launched herself at me "Daddy, it's my birthday, Daddy, it's my birthday"

Barely managed to stay upright. Leyla's 15th birthday celebrations had started. We took six of her fifteen year old friends to the Spaghetti House for dinner.

Saturday night was a Marks Mini Cab service I took Leyla up to Bushey near where my Mum lives, about 50 mins from my place to a party. So Mum got a visitor till it was time to pick her up at midnight. So that was the plan until I got a call from a friend of Leyla's at 9.30PM asking to URGENTLY come and pick Leyla up she is not feeling well. On further interrogation I found out the Leyla was in the advanced state of happiness and refreshment SHE WAS DRUNK. I got to the party to find 150 young people aged 14-16 year old in a very wet and muddy garden with a disco blaring out sounds. There were at least four girls in the same state as Leyla although no alcohol was supposed to be available, I could see no drunk boys, I met one of Leyla's friends Lola who helped me look for Leyla I found her sitting in a patch of garden mud with no shirt on. She did not have her bag, jacket or phone. I discovered a shed where the bags were stored, it had about 30 ruck sacks and 5 young people were in there. I got the kids to leave the shed, I think they could see I was very, very angry, they did not argue which was a very good move on their part. I could not find Leyla's bag or jacket, her friend Lola managed to retrieve her phone. I put Leyla into the back of my car and went to look one more time I came face to face with the party organised and told him in no uncertain terms he needs to find the bag and jacket and report to me his successful search, failure was not an option. He got the message loud and clear I collected it o Sunday morning. Got back to the car, Leyla or perhaps Leyla's stomach decided that it no longer wanted to have the alcohol and ejected it all over the back seat of my car. I got her home, cleaned up and into bed. She was very upset did not stop saying sorry promising she will never do it again and I do not think she will well at least now for a long time. I guess I have been expecting this type of incident we have all done it at sometime.

On Sunday Leyla woke up none the worse for her experience and started to help prepare for her lunch time party. Twenty or so of Leyla's closest friends came to the house for Sushi and Donuts, (interesting combination) I disappeared upstairs to read and watch some TV, I was totally superfluous to requirements in my own house, fancy that!

How comes the celebration of my fifteen year old daughter's birthday ends up costing me the best part of far too much. Next year there will not be a repeat of this type of extreme celebrations.

That's it you are totally up to date. The countdown continues another two weeks and then it will all be down hill to Christmas if it isn't there already, I hope you have a terrific week.
