Monday Morning has come around yet again, I hope you’re well and that you are looking forward to another week at the conference and incentive coal face. Another week and another challenge, what will Theresa May do? The Pound has weakened again, the last time I looked a Euro will cost you 88p, this time last year a Euro cost 76p, that’s devaluation big time. I wonder what Nick Clegg will be doing now he was booted out last Thursday clearly this political stuff is a high stakes game.

It's The Meetings Show week this week, so I will be at Olympia Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. Sandra, Katharine and Rachel will be taking turns in attending The meeting Show on our stand E350

Russia Valeria, Olga, Veronika and the team at Russian Event DMC have told us it is a bank holiday today in Russia because it is Russia Day. On June 12, 1990 Soviet leaders signed a declaration of Russia’s state sovereignty. That document symbolized the beginning of democratic reforms in Russia. It also marked one of the first steps to the official dissolution of the Soviet Union. June 12 became a public holiday in 1994 To promote June 12th as a patriotic holiday, Russia's first president Boris Yeltsin suggested renaming it Russia Day in 1997 (the holiday's original name was the Day of Signing the Declaration of State Sovereignty). The renaming took place in 2002 when the Russian Parliament adopted a new version of Russia's Labor Code. So now you know 😊

Portugal Filipe, Luisa and the team at TA DMC Portugal have told us that it is Bank Holiday on Tuesday it is The Feast of St Anthony and again on Thursday celebrating Corpus Christi. I guess a lot of people will be taking the full week on holiday, if you need something urgently from TA DMC Portugal let us know Filipe will be with us in London ALL WEEK he has all the answers.

Leyla and Hannah’s twitter and witter bit of the Monday morning e mail

Leyla last Sunday and Monday did her actual Duke of Edinburgh award trek including an overnight camp expedition in the Buckinghamshire countryside. I’m sure Leyla is destined for the stage at best, at worst amateur dramatics. I arrived at the collection point approximately 31 hours after I dropped her off. She was lying on the ground moaning in agony “Daddy, I can’t move, Daddy I can’t walk, I’m starving.” Her filthy dirty mud caked boots had been thrown into her rucksack on top of all her clothes, clean clothes, dirty clothes, wet ones, dry ones, they were all mixed up. Quite unpleasant to say the very least. She got no sympathy from me, she eventually got into the car simply because I had threatened to drive away and she could get the bus home, she was not up for that. The rest of the week she hobbled around complaining of a broken hip, insisting I take her to A&E. There were two chances of that happening slim and none and Slim has left town, there was nothing at all wrong with Leyla she had used muscles she did not know she had and she needed rest simples. Every time she said “Daddy to take me to hospital” I laughed, then she joined me laughing saying “this is serious Daddy”, it wasn’t.

All last week Hannah was busy revising, writing up revision cards, cataloguing them, indexing them, studying them and impressing me. Hannah and I were on our own on Sunday, Leyla was at school rehearsing the school play My Fair Lady she is in the chorus. I suggested we do this, we go there, we see this Hannah only wanted to stay at home and that’s what we did a very quiet Sunday Hannah said "Daddy I am a stay at home girl “ clearly I became a stay at home Daddy. That’s it for this week, wishing you a terrific five days at work.
