DATELINE MONDAY 5TH JUNE 2017

Summery sunshine greetings from the sunny streets of London W10, summer has officially begun, I wore shorts for the first time last week my legs are in shock, I hope you had a great long weekend. I regret to inform you that it’s five working days this week and will be for the foreseeable future except of course if you are going on holiday and then you don’t care whether it’s a five day week or not.

You will not be surprised actually you may be surprised that I am VERY angry, angry at the audacity of three violent losers, the pigs who attacked innocent public enjoying their Saturday night out in London, MY CITY. The Manchester attack upset me more than I thought it would. The loser, the pig that blew himself up targeted parents, children and young adults elated at having seen their pop idol, their tragedy really moved me, this recent attack on London Bridge and Borough Market has made me very angry and it does take a lot to make me angry, how dare they and what’s more in the name of religion. Having lived and worked in Istanbul I have many wonderful peace loving Muslim friends who are the majority by far except they are sadly the SILENT majority, the vocal, violent and vicious minority are the ones that get the publicity, it is time, indeed way overdue, that the good Muslims and they are in the majority need to be vocal and to stand up to their violet fellow religionists.

We are now in the second week of Ramadan, if you are reading this and observing Ramadan may I take this opportunity to wish you Ramadan Mubarek.

Leyla and Hannah’s twitter and witter bit of the Monday morning e mail

Saturday week ago Leyla wanted to go to Hyde Park with a friend, my response to Leyla was no, I didn’t know the friend she was going with, it was a sunny warm day I imagined that Hyde Park would be full of cup final football supporters and apart from that it was the Jewish day of Shabbat a day spent at home with family.

She was not happy, an hour later she came down asked me again, I hadn’t changed my mind my response was simple “Leyla you asked me and I have given you my answer”, she then decided to totally trash her room and I have photographic proof of the trashing in question. I discovered the destruction when I went to talk to her about something else. As I’m sure you can appreciate I went ballistic, my ballistic missile, unlike Kim Jong-Un’s of North Korea hit it’s target. Following my ballistics I gave Leyla two hours to completely restore her room as if it was a Barratt’s show home. I wouldn’t allow her to clear up the full length mirror she broke, I did that to ensure she didn’t cut herself it goes without saying that I managed to cut myself in the clearing up process. I confiscated her phone, two hours later the room was put back to normal however it took her a full two days to speak to me again. She finally decided to break her silence when she needed her Dad (me) to come and rescue her and her friend, they had been caught in a tropical downpour and were both soaking wet in Hampstead, naturally the conversation started with an apology, she is certainly not stupid.

That’s it you are up to date, I hope you have an amazing week ahead. Be safe out there 😊
