DATELINE MONDAY 23RD JANUARY 2017

Monday Morning greetings from London W10, I hope you are well and that you had a good weekend.

It’s a good job that this Monday morning email is in written form and not video form (although that does give me an idea to work on). The reason why it’s a good job it’s not in video form is that I have come back from Mauritius having spent a few days in the sun. As I walked into the office Friday morning, Katharine, Sandra and Rachel all said “wow you have got a tan, not bad going for three days". Even the Rabbi in Synagogue said “seems you have been away in the sunshine”.

Mauritius was as always amazing, two twelve hour overnight flights there and back, three nights on the ground but four full days. Anusha, Davina and the team at Connections DMC did an awesome job. I hosted eight conference and incentive clients, some I knew very well other less so, however after a few days enjoying the fantastic Mauritian sunshine and hospitality we all knew each other very well indeed. I am confident I can say all eight guests have become eight “frients”(friends and clients). An injection of sunshine during the bleak, grey days of January makes a huge difference, I landed back Friday morning to crystal clear blue skies and a temperature of barely three degrees C, it was cold and still is.

Marrakesh Lina, Dounia, Rachid and the team at Visit Morocco have told us about a brand new beautiful Oberoi Hotel opening in March. It is located twenty minutes from downtown on the road to Ouarzazate, features 77 villas with heated private pools as well as 6 luxury rooms and 1 presidential suite. The hotel has a spa offering traditional Moroccan and Indian treatments. There is no doubt about it, Morocco having had a couple of challenging years is back on the destination list, the interest in Morocco has gone through the roof. We decided to put together a business development trip to operate in March, the response was amazing, we are oversubscribed by 100%. Marrakech is a wonderful destination, not far from London about two hours fifty minutes flight but literally worlds away.

Budapest It seems Agnes from Microcosmos DMC who MM and Company have been representing for seventeen year is missing the UK, so Agnes decided it’s time to come over and say hello, the team here are very excited about her visit. Agnes will be over in the UK the first week of March. Three days is never long enough but it’s better than nothing. Budapest is one of the most popular destinations, should you want an update on what’s cool and funky in Budapest please let us know and we will come and visit.

Leyla and Hannah’s twitter and witter bit of the Monday morning e mail

I am sure you have heard of the phrase “too much information” when I arrive at the Leyla and Hannah bit of my Monday e mail I write it, then read it, then re-read it, then send it off to the censorship department for another lot of editing. Sometimes there are things that I simply cannot tell you or indeed there are things you do not want to know. I woke the girls up this morning, within fifteen minutes they were fighting, I understand it was over a hairband. Once the girls had both left at about 7.35AM I went upstairs to survey the damage. Not too bad this time, revenge, not sure which of my angels did it but one of them threw the others toothbrush and toothpaste tube in the loo. Wait till they get home, the only challenge with that is a) I have to remember to confront them and b) when I see them my heart melts and I just want to cuddle them both. I could tell you about what I found in the laundry basket last week but on second thoughts perhaps not.
