DATELINE MONDAY 21st NOVEMBER 2016
Late November greetings from London W10, I hope you’re well. The Christmas adverts are coming out thick and fast, you have to check out the Waitrose Christmas advert, the photography is outstanding. I would love to know how they made this advert, it features a Robin (yes a Robin bird) how they managed to capture this creature in all weathers and dangers is quite unbelievable, I thought the M&S ad was great, the Waitrose add is amazing.
Back to the real world, have you booked to go to IBTM in Barcelona? For the first time in at least 20 years I will not be going to EIBTM I have decided that having attended IMEX in Las Vegas there are other things that need to be given priority. I will for sure miss going to Barcelona I have attended every year since 1997 I will especially miss my annual dinner date with Linda Merry of Microcosmos DMC Budapest, we catch up on the year and all the goings on in Budapest I will miss seeing Linda.

Germany Frankfurt Our business development trip to Frankfurt primarily but not exclusively to see the CHRISTMAS MARKETS is now full although if you really, really desperately want to join us I am sure we can find another ticket for you amongst other things. The interest in the trip was tremendous although everyone seems to be very busy which I guess is a good thing for the conference and incentive industry. Eva and the team at our DMC Cornerstone Meetings (part of Germanyinsight) together with Julia at The Marriott Hotel are looking forward to seeing everyone on this trip. I am soooo looking forward to seeing the Christmas Markets even if it isn’t quite my holiday, although I should tell you the eight day Jewish Festival of Lights, Chanukah this year starts on Christmas Eve so I guess I can highjack a bit of Christmas.
Leyla and Hannah’s twitter and witter bit of the Monday morning e mail
There is a wonderful Yiddish word that Jewish people use all over the world and that word is “broygus” It mean that someone is cross or annoyed with someone e.g are you broygus with me? Or I am broygus with you, oh oh this will cause a major broygus so you get the idea . At home I call Hannah broygus Betty she always has a broygus going on. The big Bat Mitzvah broygus has started and it is all about shoes with heels. The girls have not allowed to have shoes with heels, full stop. Leyla is feeling a little left out due to all the plans for Hannah’s Bat Mitzvah so to keep the peace it has been agreed to allow Leyla to have a slight raised/elevated heel on her shoes. Sunday was shopping day I was with Hannah at Brent Cross which was mad, mad, mad, getting in to park was mad, the corridors were full of mad people. Ayse was with Leyla getting dresses for Friday night Saturday for synagogue and for Hannah’s disco party on Saturday night. We were all together by 6PM, the fashion show started and the shoes were presented I only knew that the broygus had started when I could hear Hannah crying her eyes out in her bedroom. I comforted her by telling her that when she turns14 years old she too could have shoes will heels. I should clarify that the shoes are not stiletto type they are very square 3” heels.
That’s it you are up to date with everything I hope you have an amazing week ahead.
