Good morning, happy Monday I hope you are well and that you had a great weekend. Can you believe that half of 2025 is now done and dusted, its history.

You know I am all for nice hot weather, I really do love a heatwave but last Tuesday was a little bit over the top, not a lot but a bit of course Wednesday was overcast and by my standards cold, then a few ok days, the next heatwave is due to arrive on Wednesday yaaayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy

As you may know last week (I did mention it in my Monday e mail) I was on a site inspection with Muge and the team at Blue DMC Turkey it was a long overdue site inspection.  Soooo much has development in the amazing destination of Istanbul, Muge kept on telling me “David you need to get over hear to see the incredible changes in Istanbul“ now I know what Muge means, new hotels all over the city and new venues plus the “must see must do” areas of Istanbul have been repurposed and basically sorted, no traffic a very efficient tram system, making it easier to get around and to experience the sites such as the Blue Mosque, St Sophia, Topkapi and the underground cistern not to mention the Covered Bazaar and the Spice Bazaar.

Glastonbury and The BBC need to hang their heads in shame, Glastonbury for giving the ignorant rapper thug (no I will not mention his name) a platform to spout hateful messages in the name of Art and the BBC for not being reactive and brave enough to pull the plug on the live broadcast. The mindless idiots that chanted hateful messages led on by numb nuts of a performer, did they not understand that over 380 innocent young citizens of Isreal were slaughtered by Hamas at a music dance festival much like Glastonbury.

Terrible flood tragedy in Texas, a river that rose over 8 meters in less than 45 minutes was totally unforeseen and swept away all in its path as it broke its banks.

More sad news the terrible accident that claimed the lives of football stars Diogo Jota and his younger brother Andre Silver, the grief of their parents to lose two sons in one accident must be unbearable.

Busy in London and Windsor this week as both cities braces for traffic mayhem as we welcome President and Mrs Macron of France to the UK.

Good to see our Chancellor of the Exchequer feeling better and with a smile on her face, why on earth she pitched up in the House of Commons when she was not “fit for purpose” is beyond me

Is it possible that after the meeting between USA President TRUMP and Israel’s Prime Minister Netanyahu today in Washinton that a ceasefire will at last come into effect and the 50 Israeli hostages dead and alive will be released by the death cult Hamas that have held them captive

Soap box time

The bitter news AGAIN today, it is 640 days since Israeli and other nations’ citizens were on 7th October 2023 wrenched violently from their homes, streets, fields, and places of leisure in Israel and taken to be held hostage as pawns of war imprisoned in squalid conditions in the Hamas terror tunnels in Gaza. A total of 50 Israelis are still being held captive by the group of evil, blood thirsty, barbaric terrorists called Hamas. Sadly out of the 50 people being kept in horrific conditions only 24 are still alive.

Here is a thought, GAZA is 25 miles long 3-7 miles wide with 2.1 MILLION people living there and not ONE PERSON in Gaza has helped to find the 59 Israeli hostages

Off the soap box now

Congratulations to Lando Norris on winning the British Grand Prix always good to see a local lad win the race.

Commiserations to the England Cricket team they lost the 2nd test at Edgbaston to India

Commiserations to England Lionesses who lost 2-1 to France in the Women’s Euros

Not even going to mention the Tennis at Wimbledon although I have to say Emma Raducanu played exceptionally well but sadly lost

Happy 90th birthday to The Dali Lama

Happy Retirement to Ozzy Osbourne and the Black Sabbath line up.

That’s it from a David point of view for this week.
