DATELINE MONDAY 5TH JULY 2021

Happy Monday morning, I hope all is well with you, are you looking forward to FREEDOM day on 19th July? I sooo hope Bo Jo our dear leader will not disappoint us this time I have a sneaky suspicion that we will be released with some slight restrictions.

I guess I might as well start with my favourite subject, the weather, the dreadful weather we are having at the moment. I am writing this to you on Sunday morning as my plans for Sunday morning are in tatters, it is raining AGAIN. I was planning to clear up the garden now please know my London NW6 garden is the size of a football pitch but it still needs some work doing to it however not in the rain.

As I tweak this Monday e mail to you the sun is shining it is dry, will it last I sooo hope so but equally I sooo doubt it.

Yesterday was 4th July USA Independence Day, I hope all of our wonderful friends across “The Pond” had a wonderful 4th July holiday, as 4th July was Sunday I guess that might mean that the USA is shut down today.

Congratulations to Emma Raducanu the 18-year-old British wildcard tennis player ranked 338th and fresh from completing her A-Levels, impressed in a 6-3 7-5 victory over Romania's world number 45 Sorana Cirstea. Emma’s dream debut run at Wimbledon continues.

Well done to the England Football team, 4-0 that is a serious result. Good luck to the team for the next round.

MM and Company news update

The team at MM and Company are very much here, present, correct and all accounted for waiting patiently till the good times roll again for SURE roll again they will.

Cancun, Mexico

Manuel, Susanna and the EPIC Group DMC team have told us that JetBlue has announced it has officially launched service at San José del Cabo’s Los Cabos International Airport. The roundtrip flights between the popular Mexican destination and Los Angeles International Airport and New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport operate daily.

Located at the southern tip of Mexico’s Baja California Peninsula where the Pacific meets the Sea of Cortez, Los Cabos is bookended by two cities, Cabo San Lucas and San José del Cabo—both major travel destinations and among the most popular in Mexico. JetBlue is operating its Los Cabos routes from its New York and Los Angeles bases using its Airbus A320 aircraft; guests can expect “the most legroom in coach;” free Fly-Fi; complimentary and unlimited name-brand snacks and soft drinks; and free, live DIRECTV programming at every seat.

Malta

Its all going on in Malta in preparation for conferences, incentives and events to restart in this amazing destinations. Last week Erika, Douglas, Claudia and the MI Malta DMC team told me about The Iniala Harbour House Hotel a collection of renovated harbourside houses in Valetta, it has a Michelin star roof top restaurant called Ion. This week the MI Malta DMC team have told me about Palazzo BiFora a beautiful Palazzo in the heart of Malta’s silent city – Mdina that has been lovingly restored to its former glory. No detail has been left unturned in the restoration. Mdina is Malta's old town with history dating back since the medieval time when this city was known as "Città Notabile" a Nobile city. Mdina is fascinating to visit for its timeless atmosphere as well as its cultural and religious treasures and proudly sits on the highest part of the hill overseeing many of the neighbouring towns, fields and distant views of the Mediterranean sea. The fortified small town boasts an eclectic mix of medieval and baroque architecture lining the quaint narrow streets. Palazzo Bifora has been uniquely restored to protect its wonderful history while creating a serene sense of luxury as it opens its doors for guest in coming months. The philosophy of the Palazzo Bifora owners is to offer guests the highest quality of personalised service where the Palazzo team know what you want before you have to ask. It is a perfect venue to buy out exclusively. That has got my vote for sure.

That’s it you are fully up to date

Until next week wishing you a GREAT week.

Just 14 days to go till…… well who knows? Will we still wear masks? social distance? Not gather in groups? The mysteries of COVID life.

If you want a vaccination go get one. Hug everybody, NOOOOO not yet 14 days to go, don’t hug everyone only those who are fully vaccinated, shake hands noooooo, wash your hands yesssssss, check the destination traffic light system, I wouldn’t bother to be honest. Go shopping, go to the pub, go out to eat, spend, spend, spend get the country back on a growth trajectory, buy lots of stuff, stay safe, wear a mask. Go to the football, have several tests, prove you have had the tests, get a ticket if you can, watch it on telly
