Happy Monday morning, OK please tell me what happened to May? where did it go? one moment it was May Day and now it’s June

It was a very busy two weeks and to be honest that’s just the way I like it ah ha, ah ha so sung KC and the Sunshine Band you have got Spotify check it out.

Bank Holiday Monday yeah remember that wet and cold, traditional bank holiday weather.

This week i.e. today and tomorrow is the Jewish religious festival of Shavuot (שָׁבוּעוֹת in Hebrew), it is a two-day Jewish holiday that commemorates the date when G‑d gave the Torah to the Jewish people at Mount Sinai over 3,000 years ago. The word Shavuot means “weeks.” It celebrates the completion of the seven-week period between Passover and Shavuot.

In the synagogue we hear the reading of the Ten Commandments on the first day of Shavuot, it is customary to enjoy

dairy foods on Shavuot from traditional cheese blintzes to quiches, and of course cheese cake (not me I dislike cheesecake with a passion)

On Friday 6th June Eid al-Adha starts this Islamic holiday marks the end of Hajj, the Islamic pilgrimage to Mecca, which is one of the five pillars of Islam and obligatory for those who are financially and physically able to complete it at least once in their lifetime. Eid al-Adha, which translates to "festival of sacrifice", is a four-day celebration that falls on the tenth day of the 12th month of the Islamic lunar calendar, known as Dhu al-Hijjah. May I take this opportunity to wish everyone celebrating this holiday Eid Mubarak

IMEX in Frankfurt was awesome as ever, it’s great for me I attend IMEX first and foremost the meet up with the DMCs MM and Company represents and recommend all of them under one roof, one very large roof for three days, I did about 16,000 steps each day just trying to get some time with each DMC. Every time I went to see Candy of TRAVCO DMC in Dubai Abu Dhabi and Oman she was busy meeting clients so as I didn’t want to disturb her mid sales pitch I had to return several times, I also hung out with Eva Hoffman of Cornerstone Meeting DMC Germany. I also met up with lots of DMC we at MM and Company recommend I saw Maros of Enjoy Slovakia DMC Vlad of Baltic Travel DMC, Bent of Hadler DMC, Darren of World Express Singapore I had a great few days there. As well as meeting our DMCs I bumped several UK agency friends and clients.

Oh dear President Trump’s tariff idea seems to be in the bin, now he must fight the USA Judges to get his tariff ideas passed into law. So he lodged an appeal, the appeal overturned the judgment and then he went and increased the steel tariff from 25% to 50% 

Another oh dear this time about football, what is it with football fans of Paris St Germain they win the 2025 UEFA Champions League Final with a resounding 5-0 victory over Serie A side Internazionale in Munich.an important football trophy then they have this amazing idea “lets celebrate this historic win by beating people up, stabbing a few and burning Paris causing hundreds of thousands of Euros worth of damage” what a bunch of effing morons.

Soap box time

The bitter news AGAIN today, it is 605 days since Israeli and other nations’ citizens were on 7th October 2023 wrenched violently from their homes, streets, fields, and places of leisure in Israel and taken to be held hostage as pawns of war imprisoned in squalid conditions in the Hamas terror tunnels in Gaza. A total of 59 Israelis are still being held captive by the group of evil, blood thirsty, barbaric terrorists called Hamas. Sadly out of the 59 people being kept in horrific conditions only 24 are still alive.

Here is a thought, GAZA is 25 miles long 3-7 miles wide with 2.1 MILLION people living there and not ONE PERSON in Gaza has helped to find the 59 Israeli hostages

Morocco

Lina, Habib Rachid and the team at Visit Morocco DMC have told us that Casablanca is really becoming a go to destination competing with Marrakech. The new Courtyard by Marriott Casablanca Downtown, has opened, it is located in the heart of Casablanca. The 109-bedroom hotel has 270 m² of flexible meeting and dining space, and a panoramic rooftop: the hotel has an outdoor pool and a fitness centre on the 8th floor
