Good morning, Happy Monday I hope you and yours are all fit and well.
If you are going on holiday, may I wish you an amazing time away from the work coal face, if you have just got back, welcome home, I hope you had a great time.
No Monday morning would be complete without me mentioning the weather, disappointing, is a one word summary of the weather we suffered last week, same one word can sum up the weather at the weekend just gone, the weekend went something like this, will it rain? looks like it will rain, it doesn’t rain, then only rained when it didn’t look like it would rain. The hoodie was on all weekend so was the duvet it seems May and June are the months for good weather, July a bit hit and miss or as my late Mum would say “och and vey” let’s see what August will bring, we won’t have to wait too long for the answer, the new month starts on Friday.
Another week and another war has begun, Thailand and Cambodia engaging in cross border clashes hopefully President Trump’s intervention has cooled things down, well at least for the time being.
Sad news about the derailment of a train in Germany, three people lost their lives it was their time no rhyme or reason just the wrong place at the wrong time.
How long will Sir Kier stand up to the pressure he is getting from fellow numpty European Leader, he should absolutely stand up to the pressure, a state called Palestine is Jordan under another name, be that as it may Hamas cannot be rewarded for the horrific and barbaric attacked it perpetrated on 7th October 2023 butchering 1,200 innocent men, women, children, babies, and young people at a music festival.
President Trump is in Scotland playing golf at his resorts and having a few meetings with Europeans leaders and our Prime Minister I guess that way he can get his expenses past the IRS, Sneaky old Trump
It’s July nearly August clearly a very slow news week, so much so that the BBC 9PM new devoted a full hour to the Lionesses’ win in Basel it’s a wonderful achievement but a full hour of news, I don’t think so.
Soap box time
The bitter news AGAIN today, it is 662 days since Israeli and other nations’ citizens were on 7th October 2023 wrenched violently from their homes, streets, fields, and places of leisure in Israel and taken to be held hostage as pawns of war imprisoned in squalid conditions in the Hamas terror tunnels in Gaza. A total of 50 Israelis are still being held captive by the group of evil, blood thirsty, barbaric terrorists called Hamas. Sadly out of the 50 people being kept in horrific conditions only 24 are still alive.
And once again Hamas has refused the conditions to a ceasefire, why? because they can see The West especially FRANCE but not the USA are swallowing hook, line and sinker their horrific propaganda nonsense. Israel wants a ceasefire they have had more than enough of this dreadful war, Israel do not want to loose one more soldier or civilian BUT they must have a peaceful border without the threat from Hamas who have publicly said they would repeat the attack of October 2023 again, again and again. The only way for Israel to achieve this is in the total annihilation of the death cult Hamas
Here is a thought, GAZA is 25 miles long 3-7 miles wide with 2.1 MILLION people living there and not ONE PERSON in Gaza has helped to find the 50 Israeli hostages
Off the soap box now
Good news CONGRATULATIONS to the Lionesses who beat Spain 3-1 to win the EURO Football Championship once again, well done to everyone involved.
Finally, HAPPY BIRTHDAY to Disneyland Resort, known as “The Happiest Place on Earth,” commemorated 70 years by honouring the people who have made those memories possible: Disneyland Resort cast members. It was on 17th July 1955 that Walt Disney opened the gates of Disneyland Located in Anaheim, CA
That’s it from a David point of view for this week.
