Good morning from the blustery but sunny streets of London W10 I hope you are well on this the last week of June and the start of Wimbledon.

The Meeting Show is on this week I had planned to go but then I found out that to get into the show as a supplier would cost north of £400 I decided The Meeting Show was simply NOT WORTH IT.

The summer months is the season of slow news, this is not the case especially when it come to the USA or Ukraine. New restrictions on gun purchasing is a start a slow start and for sure not enough but some gun toting Republicans actually voted for limited gun control that is a first. As for rolling back Women’s rights to the 1970’s that is outrageous the right to choose has got to be enshrined in law whether you agree with the choice is another thing but choice has to be a right that cannot be taken away.

Ukraine is a continuing tragedy but it is slipping off from the front page of the newspapers which is not a good thing.

London was alive with music over the weekend, Ed Sheeran at Wembley, Elton John, The Rolling Stones and The Eagles in Hyde Park, good to see Ed is bringing down the average age of the rock performer.

Eva of Cornerstone Meetings DMC part of Germanyinsight the DMC we represent who works through Germany has told us of developments at the Sheraton Frankfurt Airport Hotel & Conference Center. The hotel have revamped their guestrooms and suites. As guests walk from the airport terminal through the doors of the hotel they will see a new atrium bar, set in the heart of the lobby, serves an American inspired menu from morning to evening. The hotel’s 58 meeting rooms can accommodate conferences or events of up to 1,200 people.

France and Miami

Two awesome destination where MM and Company represent two amazing DMCs NACARA DMC France and C Florida Hospitality both will benefit from the news that French Bee has announced that it will launch flights from Miami (MIA) to Paris Orly Airport (ORY) starting December 15, 2022. France’s low-cost, long-haul airline continues to expand in the U.S. with its first southeast route. Within the past 10 months, French Bee launched two Paris routes from Los Angeles (LAX) and New York (EWR), besides the newest route to Miami.

South Africa

Shaun, Brad and the team at The Inside Edge DMC Southern Africahas told us that all COVID-19 restrictions have ended. The latest revisions include the removal of the mask-wearing mandate indoors and limits on gatherings and border checks for COVID-19, as well as the need to be vaccinated to enter South Africa.
