Dateline Monday 23rd June 2025

Welcome to yet another Monday morning I hope you are well and that you had a great week last week. Last week was week two of awesome Mediterranean type weather and I just love it I understand from the weather peeps that the heatwave is on its way out this week, we did quite well we had several consecutive days of great weather.

Whilst you are (I hope) reading this on Monday morning I am writing this on Sunday evening and I am looking right now at a screen that kind of resembles my mind, totally blank

Week two of the Israel Iran war and on Sunday the USA stepped in to finish off what Israel had laid the groundwork for, Israel had executed the preparatory work that was the annihilation of Iranian air defences, giving America clear and unfettered access to Iran’s air space and therefore access to their nuclear sites. Pundit may criticize Israel and America but when a regime who has been saying “death to America and Death to Israel” for the past forty years and when that entity is close to producing an instrument of war (nuclear bomb) that can do exactly that then it is time to act.

I don’t think I have told you this before but when it comes to Israel apart from being Jewish I have “skin in the game” I have an older brother who lives in Jerusalem he has a grown up family of a son and two daughters (my nephew and nieces) they in turn have families, between them I have ten great nieces and nephews, the constant missiles coming in from Iram aimed at population centres means that school is suspended, work is suspended, life is suspended, they are woken most nights but countrywide alerts on their phones and air raid sirens and have to rush to bomb shelters    

RAF Brize Norton

Palestine Action a should be proscribed terrorist organisation breached security at RAF Brize Norton in Oxfordshire and damaged two RAF planes. On Friday morning two mindless thugs broke into RAF Brize Norton and sprayed red paint into the engines the two Airbus Voyager aircraft. It transpires that Sir Keir Starmer was warned months ago about security risks at the base clearly, he did nothing about the warning. When proscription is confirmed, it means that Palestine Action’s assets and money can be seized. It occurs to me that members of this dreadful group are akin to the thugs that pelt the emergency personnel Police, Fire fighters and first responders with rocks, bottles and other items to cause injury when they are doing their job and when their house catches fire or they are in a car accident they are the first people to call the emergency services demanding help. Palestine Action has conducted a campaign of trespass, vandalism and property damage against companies and buildings it claims are linked to “Zionism” since the October 7 massacre it is time they were dealt with.

Soap box time

The bitter news AGAIN today, it is 626 days since Israeli and other nations’ citizens were on 7th October 2023 wrenched violently from their homes, streets, fields, and places of leisure in Israel and taken to be held hostage as pawns of war imprisoned in squalid conditions in the Hamas terror tunnels in Gaza. A total of 59 Israelis are still being held captive by the group of evil, blood thirsty, barbaric terrorists called Hamas. Sadly out of the 53 people being kept in horrific conditions only 24 are still alive.

Here is a thought, GAZA is 25 miles long 3-7 miles wide with 2.1 MILLION people living there and not ONE PERSON in Gaza has helped to find the 59 Israeli hostages

I just wonder with what is going on in Iran if the hostages are being punished or worse, horrible thought

And finally, June is PRIDE month the west end shops are beginning to decorate their shop windows and with pride publicity, John Lewis in Oxford Street the frontage if you are celebrating pride, enjoy, I am certain it will be a lot of fun.

That’s it from me for this Monday morning, wishing you a terrific week ahead, enjoy the end of the sunny weather and the cooler temperatures however for me I will still be enjoying the heat of the summer but not in the UK in ISTANBUL I am on a site inspection with Muge and the team at Blue DMC Turkey really, really, really looking forward to being back in the awesome city of Istanbul it has been a while since I was there, as a consequence of my site inspection there will not be a Monday morning e mail from me next Monday.
