Marrakech, Morocco

Lina, Habib, Rachid and the team at Visit Morocco DMC have told us that Nobu Hotel Marrakech will open today 23rd January 2023. The all-suite property has 71 suites, a Nobu Restaurant and Bar, and a panoramic rooftop with a pool, restaurant and sushi bar. Nobu Marrakech is located in the centre of Marrakech’s “Golden Triangle” in the Hivernage district. Nearby attractions include exotic souks and Djemaa el-Fna. The 71 suites are split across three floors. Categories include 44 Junior Suites, six Deluxe Junior Suites, 18 Deluxe One Bedroom Suites, two Miyabi Suites and one Nobu Suite, each with views of North Africa’s Atlas Mountain range or Koutoubia Mosque. The Rooftop is centred around a circular pool and gives a 360-degree view of the city including the old city walls surrounding the Medina district. The Rooftop restaurant houses a Nobu sushi bar, besides a daily selection of seasonal Moroccan and Mediterranean dishes.

Athens, Greece

Nassos and the team at AMD DMC Greece has told us of a new boutique hotel in downtown Athens, the New Hotel which is part of a small stable of hotels by the YES (which stands for Young, Enthusiastic and Seductive) Hotel Group. The New Hotel is centrally located by Syntagma Square and bordering the Plaka neighbourhood behind the Acropolis, the 79-room, five-star hotel features the Art Lounge and restaurant on the seventh floor which has a panoramic view of the Acropolis and other attractions, plus a vast collection of over 2,000 art books.
