Happy Monday, White Rabbits, the first of the month and the first day of meteorological autumn, yes summer is over to be honest it seemed summer was over last week, cold, wet, dark and hardly any sunshine, the weather redeemed itself over the weekend especially on Sunday morning.
Monday morning back to school panic begins today, wishing everyone concerned with the scenario the best of luck, oh and for those Mummies and Daddies who are saying goodbye to their little humans at the school gate for the very first time, trust me, been there done that, the little ones survive, to be honest the kids seem to cope with it better than the parents.
Here we go again Greta Thunberg off on her jolly holidays with 200 people from 44 different countries, her parents need to control their child of course none of us know how much she is being paid to launch this useless flotilla, one simply just can’t turn up to an international area without the proper permission. If it was up to me, I would let her and the useless idiots with her into Gaza and NOT let them out again.
How generous of France to lend the British Museum the Bayeux Tapestry whilst they build a new museum to house the Tapestry in France. Does the British Museum realise that they are saving the French a fortune in the cost of storage, I am certain that Shurgard Self Storage Paris 10 - Gare de l'Est are not happy.
Soap box time
The bitter news AGAIN today, it is 697 days since Israeli and other nations’ citizens were on 7th October 2023 wrenched violently from their homes, streets, fields, and places of leisure in Israel and taken to be held hostage as pawns of war imprisoned in squalid conditions in the Hamas terror tunnels in Gaza.
The Isreal Defence Force have recovered the bodies of two Israelis killed on 7th October 2023 and then taken to the Hamas dungeon tunnels to be held for ransom. A total of 48 Israelis are still being held captive by the group of evil, blood thirsty, barbaric terrorists called Hamas. Sadly, out of the 48 people being kept in horrific conditions only 24 are still alive although it seems Hamas is starving some of the hostages to a slow death. Hamas took the dead bodies back to Gaza because they knew that Israel would stop at nothing to get all their citizens, dead or alive back to Israel.
The death cult Hamas has gone and DONE IT AGAIN upped the ante and increased the demands in order for them to agree a ceasefire, why? because they can see The West especially FRANCE, the UK and now Canada (not in my name) but thankfully not the USA who can see what these dreadful people are up to, are swallowing hook, line and sinker their horrific propaganda nonsense. Israel wants a ceasefire they have had more than enough of this dreadful war, Israel do not want to lose one more soldier or civilian BUT they must have a peaceful border without the threat from Hamas who have publicly said they would repeat the attack of October 2023 again, again and again. The only way for Israel to achieve this is in the total annihilation of the death cult Hamas
Here is a thought, GAZA is 25 miles long 3-7 miles wide with 2.1 MILLION people living there and not ONE PERSON in Gaza has helped to find the 50 Israeli hostages
Off the soap box now
FYI PEOPLE
It has been announced that the Government is testing the Emergency Alert System on Sunday 7th September that is this Sunday coming at 3pm. This test will involve mobile phones and tablets receiving an alert, making a loud siren-like sound, and vibrating. The alert message will confirm that it is a test and that no action is required.
Good news Well done to the Ministry of Defence for securing a £10 billion order from Norway for battle ships to be built in the UK
That’s it from a David point of view for this week.
MM and Company news update
AUSTRIA
Martin, Evelyn and the team at e+o DMC Austria have told us that Vienna has been selected to host the Eurovision Song Contest 2026. Vienna reaffirms its reputation as one of Europe’s top destinations for international events, culture, and hospitality. A historical hub for the arts, Vienna will be the third time it has hosted the Contest, following its honour in both 1967 and 2015, after Austria’s first two Eurovision victories. The Grand Final of the 70th Eurovision Song Contest will be held on Saturday 16th May at the Wiener Stadthalle, Austria’s largest indoor arena, with Semi-Finals earlier the same week on Tuesday
12th May and Thursday 14th May. Time to plan the glitter and glitz onslaught.
Morocco
Lina, Habib, Rachid and the Visit Morocco DMC team are very proud to tell you that Morocco is Africa’s most-visited destination, with 17.4 million international visitors in 2024, a record year for the country. Trends indicate that this number will dramatically increase in 2025. With over 5 million visitors, Marrakech is the most visited destination within Morocco. Marrakech is by far the most requested city for conferences and incentives followed by Casablanca. Whilst Morocco’s Agadir is a great destination it is rarely requested by UK clients. It is fair to say that Marrakech has benefitted from improved airlift and lots of new hotels
Malta and France
Erica, Helga, Claudia and the Mi Malta DMC team have told us that The Royal Malta Yacht Club and the Yacht Club de Cannes announced that Black Jack, an impressive monohull yacht a striking 100-foot vessel is the first official entry for the 2025 edition of the Cannes–Malta Race. The Cannes–Malta Race, scheduled to start on October 8th 2025 from the French Riviera, serves as an ideal lead-up race: to the iconic 606-nautical-mile Rolex Middle Sea Race. Participating yachts are expected to arrive in Malta in time to make final preparations before lining up for the start on 18th October.
Malaysia
Monday 1st September is a bank holiday celebrating Malaysia’s National Day. The actual National Day is on 31st August, which was yesterday Sunday so today Monday 1ST September, is the day off
Friday 5th September is the Prophet Muhammad’s Birthday, whilst we at MM and Company do not represent a DMC in Malaysia, we do recommend a DMC over there World Express DMC a lovely team of people but just in case you needed something urgently at least you now know why not much is happening.
Finally, Rugby the sport not the UK city
THE Springbok take on Japan on Saturday 1st November at Wembley Stadium. The World Champion Springboks and Japan will kick start their northern hemisphere with a match at Wembley Stadium
And that is about it for this Monday you know as much as I know, wishing you an outstanding day and an awesome week ahead
The Monday morning e mail is taking a break, next Monday I am traveling so won’t be able to write to you, although I will be available on my mobile 07710-031475 as well as e mail, David@mm-and-company.co.uk then the following Monday 15th September I will be recovering from a family celebration, my nephew Harry (my sister Nicole and her husband Nigel’s youngest son) is marrying Chloe on Sunday 14th September, I will be in no fit state to write anything the next day.
