Dateline Monday 15th May 2023

Good morning, I hope you are well and that you had two great back-to-back long weekends. OK so the weather was not great but that’s tradition just like the Coronation if its bad weather it must be bank holiday Monday. Talking about the weather one-word springs to mind changeable last Friday it was cold so was Saturday ah but yesterday was lovely more like mid-May.

So let’s review what has been going on since the last Monday morning e mail which was sent on 24th April, hummm oh yes The Coronation and the Coronation oh did I mention the Coronation of King Charles III as awesome as the parade of the military might of the UK was it is time to get back to normal. Eurovision, Eurovision, and Eurovision

Local elections have taken place, some more voting happens on 1st June, as I have said several times, we are so lucky to live in the UK did you see the riot police sent to arrest Imran Khan in Pakistan, dreadful how they treated him regardless of the fact he is not in power he should have been treated with so much more respect being an ex-Prime Minister.

What another interest rate rise? Come on peeps at The Bank of England was that really necessary? Andrew Bailey the Governor of The Bank of England said it was to curb inflation and drive down demand we it certainly has worked here in my house, demand has been dampened by David. I have informed the Marks family members that nothing is to be purchase without a requisition to purchase in triplicate and a Purchase Order number issue by the Household Comptroller (me)

Ha, ha the Moscow Victory Day Parade commemorating the Victory over the Nazi aggressors was a bit of a damp affair, only one tank from 1945, lots of smartly dressed cannon fodder soldiers and a few enormous missiles probably made from Lego.

Eurovision, I think that is going to have to go onto my bucket list, it looked like the audience and performers were having a lot of fun going by the shenanigans we saw on TV that were happening in Liverpool. Shenanigans a great word, on the same level of greatness as bonkers, crackers, kerfuffle.

Well done Sweden on winning Eurovision, “congratulations” as a Eurovision national treasure would say (hello Cliff)

And that’s it, you are up to date from a David point of view.
