Good morning awesome people of the conference and incentive industry I hope all is well with you
OK as I always do I have to start my Monday morning e mail with a weather update (it’s the law) one word dreadful, two weeks ago we had four maybe five days of awesome weather my type of weather hot and very hot, sunny 30+degrees C what’s not to like, then we pay the price of the weather we have had for the past two weeks cold wet and rain I recon every day if I didn’t have the Meeting Show next week and all that entails I would have skipped the country to work remotely in somewhere like Spain or Greece, whatever happened to flaming June? Flame Out June perhaps although the boffins at the weather centre says the weather will warm up this week, I doubt the start of summer has ever been colder.
What have we missed? Pope Leo has been in Spain checking out Gaudi’s masterpiece in Barcelona, another tragic knife attack this time in Belfast, I still do not understand the need to burn innocent strangers’ cars and houses because of this knife attack or am I missing something? The USA and Iran are at it again it was bound to happen, the Iran clerics who get their ideas from the Middle Ages have been running rings around Trump and his Department of War for month stringing him along with this deal and that deal then nothing, the Straits of Hormuz is still closed there have been a few skirmishes then Iran shoots down a USA helicopter well that was always going to kick things off again, the “spin “people in power are now calling a cease fire a “lesser fire” Will a peace deal be signed? as I write this it is in the balance. It appears that an agreement has been made but nothing has been signed yet.
The Trooping of the Colour was on Saturday now that I would love to go to, we British do a great job with pageantry.
You missed the Naked Bike Ride in London that was yesterday Sunday 14th June, when 1,000 people with no clothes on cycle round London. Why? I have no idea, very pleased I decided to work on the garden yesterday. I walked to Trafalgar Square Saturday afternoon there was a classical concert going on in the square sponsored by BMW. Naturally it attracted huge crowds I couldn’t get in even though I told them I drive a BMW, I could have barged my way in like a BMW driver would do but I decided against it, far too many security guards.
FIFA World Cup 2026 started on 11th June in Mexico’s Azteca Stadium, Ascot starts on Tuesday 16th June I am guessing the going with be slow and soft due to all the rain, Wimbledon starts on 29th June hopefully we will have been all rained out by then, lots going on in June.
We have got Father’s Day Sunday 21st June, the Summer Solstice Sunday 21st June as well marking the start of summer in the Northern Hemisphere and the longest day of the year, a full Strawberry Moon on Monday 29th June to look forward to.

MM and Company news update
Malta
Erika, Helga, Douglas, Trevor, Claudia and the MI Malta DMC team tell me that Delta Air Lines has launched the first-ever nonstop service between New York JFK and Malta. This is a boost for Malta the home of 8,000 years of history, three UNESCO World Heritage Sites, and English as an official language the Americans like that a lot. Malta has been the film location for major productions including Gladiator, Game of Thrones, Napoleon, and Jurassic World Dominion.
And that is about it for this Monday, you know as much as I know, wishing you an outstanding day and an awesome week ahead.
