Oh what a beautiful morning oh what a beautiful day I have a wonderful feeling everything's going my way

Happy Monday morning peeps yes its Marksie doing the e mailing on one of my favourite days of the week, has he completely lost it I hear you ask? Well after 21 years and counting of representing awesome DMCs I am well on the way.

Interesting weather we had last week dull, overcast and warmish during the day and just as we were leaving the office the sun came out which I suppose is not a bad result weather wise.

OK I have done the weather now politics I wouldn't want to be the Prime Minister of our country at this time for all the tea in Tesco's. Theresa is only doing her job which is managing the UK out of the European Union, I'm sure she would prefer to do lots of other things, this is taking up all her time and it's not what she wanted, it's what the people of the UK voted for. The sooner we are out of it the better, it's driving me nuts. Talking about driving me nuts, the GDPR thing rumbles on and on and on, I'm still deleting emails.

Life is taking interesting turns and I am sure tomorrow will see more interesting turns being taken. President Trump and Chairman Kim in Singapore I wonder if both will have their nuclear red buttons with them, to continue the theme as someone said many years ago "we live in interesting times"

The Meetings Show 27th-28th June 2018 I have got something to admit to you, I was not looking forward to the Meetings Show, but as I have got into working on the stand design with Julie, our external stand design guru, it has taken a new lease of life and meaning, now I cannot wait for you to see the design we have come up with this year. I think it's super cool and would be delighted to hear your thoughts when you visit us on the stand. The number you need to remember is F302.

France We cover all of France and it's a big country, MM and Company represents Nacara DMC France, they are experts in delivering outstanding conferences, incentives and events in Paris, Bordeaux, Lyon, Strasbourg, Dijon, Reims and Orleans.

We are delighted to add to our coverage of France, Phenix Events who MM and Company have known and worked with for at least eighteen years. Menno and his team at Phenix Events cover the whole of the South of France including Monaco. Menno is an expert in Monaco, Nice, Cannes, Toulon and Marseille as well as Monpelier and Perpignan so if you or your clients need anything at all anywhere in France, I'm confident Phenix Events or Nacara DMC will be able to deliver.

Russia It is fair to say the World Press has been giving Russia a hard time for several years perhaps it is a lot to do with the Government and its policies HOWEVER it is unfair that our wonderful DMC Russian Event and the Citizens of Russia suffer so let's put a stop to that now and return to Russia to the C&I league table.

Moscow and St Petersburg are both awesome cities and incredible destinations for conferences, incentives and events. I am SURE that once the World has seen Russia in all its glory during the FIFA World Cup that starts in a few days' time although I am sure there will be a few football related challenges but putting those aside decision makers will again see Russia as a great destination for their next corporate event. When that happens Valeria, Olga, Veronika and the team at Russian Event will be ready and waiting to welcome you back to Mother Russia.

Leyla and Hannah's twitter and witter bit of the Monday morning e mail

Talking of the weather as I did in my introduction, the girls ask me each morning "Daddy, tights or socks? What's the weather going to be like?" Now the last time I looked in the mirror I looked nothing like Tomasz Schafernaker, nor do I look like Phil Avery or Stav Danaos. On Tuesday I called it wrong, the sun didn't come out and it was slightly chilly all day, Leyla was not happy with me. I reminded her I was in the conference and incentive business and not the weather business.

Leyla is an amazing negotiator, on Saturday night I went to an amazing party in Henley, I knew I would not be home till well after midnight (2.40AM to be exact) so I wanted Leyla to be home from her party by 10PM to ensure Hannah and her friend were not let alone for too long. I stated this on Wednesday, Leyla then set about a program of nagging and negotiating at the same time she also enlisted Hannah to lobby on her behalf Hannah stating that she is almost 14 and is well capable of being left on her own in the house. Eventually with all the cases stated and backed up with evidence I agreed that Leyla HAD to be home at 11.30PM, Hannah had to phone me every hour and Leyla had to phone me from the HOME landline phone at 11.30PM.

I got to the party, pink Ruinart champagne was being offered, I would not say I forgot about home challenges but the Ruinart did help, I missed three of Hannah's calls I did warn her that might be the case but I could see she had called, at 11.20PM Leyla phoned and said she was walking on Finchley Road almost home, I believed her Leyla always keeps to her curfew time, besides after several glasses of champagne it was good enough for me.

I have sent Don and Kim a message to offer Leyla's help in Singapore, we are on hold until it all falls to bits.
