DATELINE MONDAY 8TH AUGUST 2016
Happy Monday, August is well and truly up and running which means it’s time for me to dust off my bucket and spade, mend last years’ puncture in the Lillo and head off to guaranteed sunshine. This year I’m going off to Greece a few nights in Athens spending time with Nassos, Fay and the AME DMC team in Athens, a few days on the Mediterranean in some kind of sailing vessel not quite sure what yet and then a week in Mykonos where I know for certain when the curtains are open in the morning it will be sunny and will continue to be sunny until at least 8 o’clock at night.
If you have been on holiday, I hope they were happy, full of sun and fun days. If you are going away somewhere soon, I wish you a wonderful chilled and relaxing time whatever you intend to do.
BTW this is the last Monday Morning email, the next time I will chat with you via this amazing medium of Monday e mails will be Monday 5th September.

ICELAND
Just one bit of news to report hot off the press so to speak from Anna and the team at Nordic Visitor the DMC we represent in Iceland after flying for 9 months from Reykjavik, the BA-route has been a great success.
Due to the success of the route British Airways will double the capacity to Reykjavik. From 30th October, British Airways will fly six times a week instead of three times (no service on Tuesdays).

Last week I was in Bordeaux France for a couple of days, having a great friend over there happens to be a DMC we don’t represent them but I think it might be time to do so. If you have not been to Bordeaux may I respectfully suggest you might want to revisit the ideas of going, there are direct BA flights as well as other carriers from Gatwick and other UK airports, a short 1 hour 20 minutes flight later I landed at Bordeaux airport. Only one hour after landing I was in the St Emilion wine region quaffing a fine glass of vin rouge. The area of Bordeaux itself is historic, stunning scenery, the weather was amazing. This region of France attracts five and a half million visitors a year.
The reason why I’m telling you is I left Bordeaux early arrived into London at 10.30 am, straight into work had a crazy, intense day. All I wanted to do was get home and chill with a glass of red wine (naturally why spoil the habit of a few days), Leyla and Hannah had different ideas.
“Daddy can we go to see the new Disney Pixar Movie Finding Dori?” Having been away from the girls for a few days my only response was, “yes darling girls. I would love to go”,inside I was dying. “Can we have Pizza as well?” So off I went, with my girls, the three of them to see Finding effing Dori. To be honest I didn’t give a rat’s behind if Dori was never found, the girls loved it. They mugged me on the way in, a huge bucket of popcorn, Ice Tango blasts, chocolate, I had a Magnum first one I’ve had for ages into the movies. Settled in and Leyla spills 30% of the popcorn all over the place. I’m going to be honest here, it was warm and dark in the cinema, I missed quite a chunk of the movie.
Hannah gets here leg cast off on Monday and the three of them have booked a Spa day which I’m paying for, a 12 year and a 14 year old (almost) and a 50 something year old, leg waxing, Mani and Pedi and Daddy paying, where did I go wrong?
That’s it you are fully up to date. Have an amazing rest of August talk to you soon.
