DATELINE MONDAY 11TH DECEMBER 2017
Chilly or what? Especially on Sunday, settled snow in London is quite a rare sight. Back to chilly, 1 degree on Saturday not a good outlook guess it really is winter good and proper, to quote a famous saying "it's beginning to look a lot like Christmas" and in a funny sort of way I'm quite looking forward to it but we have till got two weeks to go and I'm delighted to say we are still busy. It seems our wonderful clients are being contacted by their wonderful clients, who want to get events confirmed for January and February, all good news.
DMC News *MM and Company News * Destination News*
We all know this is a crazy business, always planning, planning, planning so much for the future. MM and Company are well sorted for the first quarter of 2018. In fact, to be honest with you we have been planning for a number of months, so in January I'm off to Cancun to meet with Susanne, Manuel and the team at the EPIC Group.
We have Sai Rattan, Managing Director of SNTTA Emir Incentives and Conferences DMC coming over to do sales calls. Speaking of Dubai, did you know that there will be a brand new Bulgari Hotel & Residences opening this week, with 101 rooms and 20 super-premium hotel villas. This is only the fifth hotel anywhere in the world, overlooking the Mediterranean, there is also Yacht Club that can be customised for large events. If you need any info on this please let us know.
We also have germanyinsight coming over the end of January, they are planning to do a drinks and canapes reception in a funky city location, watch this space for more details.
Filipe of TA DMC Portugal will also be coming over in the first quarter of 2018, it never stops which is just the way I like it.
Christmas Competition The MM and Company team and I were having a bit of fun last week and we have come up with a couple of competitions as well as an Instagram incentive. We have launched a Caption competition on our Facebook page
I went to Makro, we have loads of big bags of M&M's to give away and we want to give them to you, follow us on Instagram and see what happens :-)
Leyla and Hannah's twitter and witter bit of the Monday morning e mail
Leyla has had a quiet week after her very helpful Sunday last week making up for her vodka incident, she is back to her normal fifteen year old teenager ways.
On Friday evening just before dinner and on Saturday morning after Synagogue and just before lunch Jewish people around the world say a prayer called Kiddush which means sanctification it is a blessing over sweet wine and challah bread. As a result of Leyla I have a silver becha Hebrew for a goblet.
She bursts into my room on Friday morning "Daddy, I need £5", I ignored her, she repeated her request louder, I ignored her again. The third time "Daddy, please may I have £5 for pizza for lunch at school today?" solicited a more sympathetic response after all I'm responsible for feeding her until she is eighteen.
On Friday morning just before Hannah left for school she reminded me that she didn't get "paid" last Friday (her pocked money). Something went wrong with the website used to give the girls pocket money. She also reminded me that she needs to get paid double this week to make up for last week. I have no worries whatsoever that Hannah will do well in life.
08.15AM yesterday (Sunday) morning I heard screams from the girls rooms, I flew up the stairs fearing he worse hoping for the best, the girls were both looking out of the window screaming at the snow, my first though was my 10k run has just been cancelled, I went downstairs and declared it a "duvet day". Both Leyla and Hannah got dressed and were outside messing about in the snow by 9AM I am so pleased I am not fifteen years old, snow does not get me excited just gets me cold.
That's it you are now fully up to date wishing you an amazing work and shopping week ahead
