DATELINE MONDAY 13TH MARCH 2017
Sunny, dry, warmish Monday morning greetings from London W10, I hope you had a nice weekend, I also hope you have the same lovely spring like weather (or better) we have here in the edgy yet cool and funky streets of London W10.
In case you were wondering I had a fabulous weekend basking in THIRTY degrees of Moroccan sunshine, I was there on a brief visit to Marrakesh with Lina, Dounia, Rachid, Karim and the team at Visit Morocco DMC. We have seen a huge up turn in interest in Morocco, it’s fair to say it went through a dip as do all destinations one time or another however, Morocco is will and truly back on the radar. The last time I was in Morocco was a couple of years ago, lots has changed, new hotels have opened, new Riads, great gala dinner venues, a few terrific bars and clubs Marrakech is happening big time. Also some things have stayed the same; the Souks, Jemaa el-Fnaa Square, Berber villages, the wonderful and warm Moroccan people and of course the stunning Atlas Mountains.
I stayed at the new Radisson Blu Hotel, terrific location only four kilometres from the Medina I know it is four kms because I ran there and back as my Sunday morning run and my Runtastic ap measured the run. It is a perfect hotel at an extremely good rate for a brief weekend stay. Please let me know if you want to know more about my trip to Marrakech with Visit Morocco DMC.

Please let me or Katharine know should you wish to have a full update on this very new and unfamiliar destination.

If you need anything in a hurry from Budapest let us know we can get hold of the key players at Microcosmos DMC, we know where they are on bank holiday, J they can run but they cannot hide.
Leyla and Hannah’s twitter and witter bit of the Monday morning e mail
Leyla has been given the dubious honour of singing at her school’s annual fund raiser event.
All last week we were treated to renditions of the Al Johnson song, Swanne or was it Mamme not too sure Leyla practise in her bedroom morning, noon and night. I wasn’t able to attend her concert but I’m reliably informed she could possibly have a career in show business. I prefer her to be a Paediatrician or a Lawyer first then she can become the singing lawyer or the singing paediatrician.
So there I am in Marrakech, Thursday evening traveling in one of the famous horse and carriage taxi vehicles my phone rings its Leyla “Daddy hello its Leyla” “yes baby girl is everything OK” “No” was her reply. Yikkkeeeesss I grabbed the reins from the carriage driver turned the vehicle around to head for the airport, “don’t spare the horse” type of drama “What’s the matter Leyla” “well Daddy, you see the thing is I cannot find my Superman sweatshirt do you know where it is?” OK carriage driver as you were.
Hannah got into Purim in a big way, she dressed up for her school Purim party, not too sure what she dressed up as but there was a lot of “Halloweenesque” make up going on, then she had a Purim themed Bat Mitzvah Party she went as a Unicorn.
